COMPLETE A POLICE CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK:
One Hope Canada is a national, non profit charity that provides service primarily to children and youth of all ages. As such, we have a Child & Youth Protection Policy that requires all personnel, volunteers, and support persons to be thoroughly screened. This includes providing a Police Criminal Record Check if 18 or older and a Vulnerable Sector Check if 25 or older.
If you have not had a Criminal Record check completed and on file at Torch Trail in the past TWO YEARS you will need to have one done.
CRIMINAL RECORD PROCEDURE:

Go to your local Royal Canadian Mounted Police station, ask them to do a "Criminal Records check" on you. You will need to explain that you will be working at the camp during the summer months. If you need a letter from us, please let us know and we will send it to you.

Summer Volunteer Positions Available

Wrangler - wranglers will help care for the horses, assist in skills, and help with barn upkeep. They should be familiar with horses.
​
Senior Cabin Leader - responsible for leading a cabin with the assistance of a Junior cabin leader. They are expected be involved in all aspects of camp life, leading skills as well as cabin time devotions. Must be at least 18 years of age.
​
Junior Cabin Leader - work with campers under the leadership of the senior cabin leader. They are expected to be involved in all aspects of camp life, leading skills, and helping with cabin time devotions.
​
Prep Cook (x2) - under the supervision of the Head Cook, help with food production/prep, serving food and doing dishes.
​
Custodian Helper (x2) - under the supervision of the Head Custodian, help with upkeep/cleanliness of camp buildings (bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, dusting, doing dishes as needed, etc.)
Maintenance Helper - help with maintaining camp buildings, grounds, and equipment.
